THE RUNDOWN
HONOLULU, Hawaii -
The Baylor women's golf team is in third place after Tuesday's first two rounds at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational. BU shot 9-over-par 297 in the first round and 10-over 298 in the second round for a total of 19-over 595 at the Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course.

Louise Gateau-Chovelon led the Lady Bears in the first round, shooting 1-over 73, and just one stroke behind her was Dylan Kim at 2-over 74. Hayley Davis and Laura Lonardi both shot 3-over 75, and Giovana Maymon shot 4-over 76. Natalia Perez shot 6-over 78 while playing as an individual.

In the second round, Lonardi led the Lady Bears, shooting 3-under 69 for a total score of even-par 144. Kim is in 10th place after shooting even-par 72 for a total score of 2-over 146. Davis shot 6-over 78 for a total score of 9-over 153, putting her in 30th place. Gateau-Chovelon is in a tie for 35th place with a total score of 10-over 154 after shooting 9-over 81 in the second round. Maymon shot 7-over 79 for a total score of 11-over 155 to finish the day in 42nd place. Perez is tied for 53rd at 14-over 158.

HIGHLIGHTS
? Davis and Kim both posted 4.75 averages in par-5 scoring, the third-best in the individual field.
? Maymon had the third-best average of 3.12 in par-3 scoring, and Lonardi had the third-best average in par-4 scoring at 3.85.
? Baylor had 122 total pars through 36 holes, the second-most in the 15-team field.
? The Lady Bears had 15 birdies through the two rounds.

STAT OF THE DAY
2 - The number of holes BU shot 3-under par as a team through Tuesday's 36-holes. The Lady Bears shot 3-under on No. 7 in the first round and 3-under on No. 17 in the second round.

"We did not have our best day out there today," head coach Jay Goble said. "I would like to say that the beauty of this place inspired us to have a great day, but it did not. Laura played best for us today and had a solid second round of 69. Tomorrow we have nothing to do but be aggressive and try and make a lot of birdies."

Players will play the final 18 holes in Wednesday's third and final round with an 8 a.m. local time, 1 p.m. CT shotgun start.
