Bruin Wave Day One Results and Statistics

THE RUNDOWN
TARZANA, Calif. - The Baylor women's golf team is in fifth place after the first round of the Bruin Wave Invitational. BU shot 14-over-par 302 on Monday at the El Caballero Country Club. The 15-team field was scheduled to play two rounds on Monday, but rain delays forced the players to stop play midway through the second round.

Hayley Davis led the team at 3-under 69, putting her in second place, just one shot back of Washington's Charlotte Thomas. Giovana Maymon and Laura Lonardi are tied for 32nd place with scores of 5-over 77. Dylan Kim shot 7-over 79 to tie for 43rd place, and Maggie Beth Byers was in a tie for 47th place after shooting 8-over 80 in the first round.

Teams will resume second-round play at 10 a.m. CT Tuesday and then go immediately into the third round using the same shotgun start pairings from day one.

HIGHLIGHTS
? Maymon leads the field in par-3 scoring with an average of 2.86.
? BU is in second place for par-5 scoring with an average of 5.00.
? Davis is tied for second in par-5 scoring individually with an average 4.57.

"I think we looked a little sloppy, not to give excuses, but we just weren't 100 percent ready because of some of the weather we've had in Waco recently," head coach Jay Goble said. "I'm pretty confident that, because we played three rounds in the past 48 hours, we'll be ready to go tomorrow."

WHAT'S NEXT
Players will continue in the second round on Tuesday at 10 a.m. CT from where they left off on Monday evening. Davis will begin on No. 14, Maymon and Kim on No. 15, Lonardi on No. 16 and Byers on No. 18. Players will continue immediately into the third round with a shotgun start, with Lonardi and Kim teeing off from No. 1, Byers from No. 2, and Maymon and Davis from No. 18.
