THE RUNDOWN
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - The 23rd-ranked Baylor women's golf team finished in first place after shooting 5-under-par 571 over 36 holes in Sunday's UTSA Tri-Match. The Lady Bears shot 2-under 286 in the first round and 3-under 285 in the second round at Briggs Ranch Golf Club. BU finished 10 strokes ahead of Texas (+5, 581) and 30 strokes ahead of UTSA (+25, 601).

Hayley Davis finished in first place, shooting 5-under 67 and 2-under 70 for an overall score of 7-under 137. Laura Lonardi finished with a final score of 1-under 143 with scores of 2-over 74 and 3-under 69 to finish in third place.

Lauren Whyte took sixth place with a total score of 2-over 146 after shooting even-par 72 and 2-over 74. Giovana Maymon shot 1-over 73 and 2-over 74 to finish in a tie for seventh place with an overall score of 3-over 147. Dylan Kim finished in a tie for 10th place after shooting 6-over 78 and even-par 72 for a total score of 6-over 150.

"Briggs Ranch plays different in the spring than when we competed here in the fall," head coach Jay Goble said. "It was a great opportunity to compete on a championship golf course that we have potential to see in postseason, and it's also a great warm-up for our event in Arizona."
