
WBB's Wallace and U19 Teammates Claim Bronze Medal

CHEKHOV, Russia - The Australian Gems' U19 team, claimed the bronze medal in the FIBA Under 19 Women's World Championships on Sunday. The Gems defeated Spain, 69-62, to earn third place. Baylor sophomore guard Kristy Wallace and her Gem teammates finished tournament play at 6-1.
Wallace, playing in her final Gems game, contributed nine points and nine rebounds in the victory and was the only Aussie to play all 40 minutes of the game.
For the tournament, Wallace averaged 10.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.
