THE RUNDOWN
NORMAN, Okla. -- Baylor women's golf is in 13th place after shooting 15-over-par 299 in Sunday's second round at the Schooner Fall Classic. BU sits at 21-over 589 heading to Monday's final round at Belmar Golf Club.
Baylor (+21) leads Mississippi State (+26) and Tulsa (+31). The Lady Bears trail Alabama (-6), Texas A&M (+2), Florida (+2), Clemson (+3), Oklahoma (+4), Notre Dame (+8), Florida State (+8), Texas (+9), Miami (+10), Washington (+11), UCF (+13) and Texas State (+20).
Fiona Liddell and Amy Lee are tied for 38th place individually at 4-over-par 146. Liddell shot 3-over 74 and Lee carded a 4-over 75 in Sunday's second round. Maria Vesga shot 3-over 74 for a second consecutive round to move into a tie for 49th place at 6-over 148. Cheerie Tan carded the Lady Bears' final counting second round score at 5-over 76 and is tied for 54th place at 7-over 149.
Freshman Diane Baillieux improved by four strokes with an 8-over 79 and sits in 79th place at 20-over 162. Giovana Maymon, who is playing as an individual, shot 11-over 82 and is tied for 71st place at 13-over 155.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Baylor is tied for eighth in the 15-team field in par-3 scoring at 9-over 3.18, ranks 12th in par-4 scoring at 23-over 4.26 and 14th in par-5 scoring at 9-over 5.22.
- BU's 108 pars through two rounds rank eighth in the field, and the Lady Bears' 23 birdies rank 13th.
- Fiona Liddell is tied for second in the 81-player field in par-3 scoring at 2-under 2.80.
- Liddell is tied for sixth with 26 pars over 36 holes.
- Amy Lee is tied for 10th in par-5 scoring at 2-under 4.75.
- Maria Vesga is tied for 20th in par-4 scoring at 1-over 4.05.
- Cheerie Tan is tied for 17th in par-5 scoring at 1-under 4.88.
- Lee and Tan are tied for 24th with six birdies over two rounds.
STAT OF THE DAY
5 -- Maria Vesga was one of only five golfers in the 81-player field to make a birdie on the 169-yard, par-3 eighth hole, which was the most difficult hole to birdie in the second round.

Monday's final round begins at 8:10 a.m. CT. Baylor players will start from No. 10, with Baillieux up first at 9:50 a.m. She'll be followed in 10-minute intervals by Tan, Vesga, Lee and Liddell, respectively.
