ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹For the second straight game, the Baylor Bears couldn't finish what they started.

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹Leading by three on the road with less than eight minutes left, the Bears missed six of their last seven shots and were outscored 22-9 down the stretch in falling t the Iowa State Cyclones, 75-65, Saturday afternoon before a crowd of 14,283 at Hilton Coliseum in Ames.

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹"I feel like we did a good job on the glass, we've just got to execute late in games," said freshman forward Tristan Clark, who recorded his second career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 15 rebounds and three blocks.

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹Freshman guard Lindell Wigginton "was a monster" for the Cyclones (10-6, 1-4), hitting a big 3-pointer late in the game and finishing with a career-high 30 points after scoring 27 in Tuesday's 83-78 loss at Kansas.

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹"He separated all night," Drew said. "He's a great player and somebody we recruited and we knew was going to be really good. He's one of those guys, too, that's consistent. He's not just a one-hit wonder. He's getting buckets."

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹That was Baylor's struggle, particularly late in the game, just like Tuesday's 57-54 loss at No. 2 West Virginia. The Bears shot 34 percent overall for the game and just 22 percent (4-of-18) from 3-point range.

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹Senior point guard Manu Lecomte was 2-of-12 overall and 0-for-7 from outside the arc, ending a string of 17 games with at least one 3-pointer.

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹"Manu's had some good looks now," Drew said. "You go through some shooting slumps, and that's what he's in. . . . I think our guys have set good screens and gotten him good looks. The forced ones you don't want to take, especially when you're not making shots. But the good looks, we have confidence and trust in him. He's a great shooter, so great shooters are going to make more than other shooters. But, when he misses, we've got to be there to get those rebounds."

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹King McClure knocked down three 3-pointers and scored 13 points, while 7-footer Jo Lual-Acuil added 13 points and seven rebounds. But, it was Clark that kept the Bears in the game until the final minute.

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹"I thought Tristan was tremendous today," Drew said. "He really competed, battled, with 16 (points) and 15 (rebounds), five offensive boards. I thought he was really good for us. Hopefully, we can keep building off of that and keep him consistent like that."

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹In a back-and-forth first half that included eight lead changes, Clark scored off a miss by Lecomte to give Baylor a 23-21 lead at the 4:15 mark, but then missed the follow free throw. Just like the end of the game, Iowa State closed the half on an 11-2 run to go up 34-27 at the break.

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹The Cyclones were 0-fer from outside the arc until Wigginton buried two 3-pointers in the last three minutes, giving him 17 first-half points.

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹"It was frustrating, because we were rotating nine games. We should be fresh," Drew said. "We shouldn't give up transition 3's."

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹Baylor finished with a 46-41 edge on the boards, with Terry Maston coming off the bench to grab a career high-tying 10 rebounds to go with eight points and two assists.

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹With the loss, the Bears fall into a three-way tie for last in the Big 12 standings with Iowa State and 16th-ranked TCU, which lost 102-97 in overtime at Oklahoma. Baylor returns home to host Oklahoma State (12-5, 2-3) at 8 p.m. Monday, with the Cowboys coming off a 65-64 win at home over Texas.

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹Monday's game will be televised by ESPNU.

ÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¹"We just have to forget this one have a short-term memory loss and just come out and get the (win), at all cost," Clark said. "It doesn't matter what happened this game or the game before that, just get the win. This is all new for me, but we have a lot of seniors, a lot of veterans, so I think we'll be prepared for it."
