OAK BROOK, Ill. -- The McDonald's All-American Games unveiled the official roster of 24 for the premier high school basketball all-star event, which will take place on March 28 at Atlanta Philips Arena at 4 p.m. (CT) on ESPN2. Baylor led the nation with a program-record four selections, including forward Aquira DeCosta (Sacramento, Calif.), center Queen Egbo (Houston, Texas), guard Honesty Scott-Grayson (Brick, N.J.) and forward NaLyssa Smith (Converse, Texas).
"The players selected for the 2018 McDonald's All-American Games represent the future of basketball," Hall of Fame basketball coach and McDonald's All-American Games Selection Chairman Morgan Wootten said. "As we leave a great legacy in Chicago, we look forward to hosting the Games in Atlanta and providing the players with the opportunity to show the entire country their tremendous talent."
All four Baylor recruits will suit up for the Girls West All-American squad, an opportunity to play together on the same team before arriving in Waco, Texas.
This is the latest honor for Baylor head coach Kim Mulkey's top-ranked 2018 recruiting class as all five players, including Caitlin Bickle (Cave Creek, Ariz.) who is coming back from an ACL injury, were nominated for McDonald's All-American recognition.
DeCosta, Egbo, Scott-Grayson and Smith were also selected to the 2018 Naismith Trophy Midseason Girls Basketball Watch List by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
