Bears duo win respective singles matches Wednesday morning

SURPRISE, Ariz. – Baylor men's tennis had two players pick up wins on day one of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships Wednesday at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz.
In singles action, 115th-ranked Will Little downed No. 78 and 13th-seeded Aziz Kijametovic of Old Dominion in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, while No. 33 Johannes Schretter took down 68th-ranked Martin Joyce of Ohio State, 6-4, 6-4.
No. 85 Sven Lah picked up the lone singles loss for the Bears with a tight 7-6(6), 7-5 defeat to No. 92 Bojan Jankulovski of Miami. He moves into the consolation draw on Thursday.
The Bears' doubles teams fell short in the round of 32 and picked up two losses. Second-seeded Jimmy Bendeck and Sven Lah dropped a 6-4, 7-6(5) match to Washington's Jack Davis and Piers Foley while fifth-ranked Will Little and Johannes Schretter fell 4-6, 6-2, 1-0(5) to Old Dominion's Kijametovic and Francois Musitelli.
Both doubles duos move into the consolation draw Thursday evening.
