THE RUNDOWN
TAMPA, Fla. – Baylor soccer (2-1-0) dropped into a first half deficit that proved to be too much to overcome, falling 3-1 to South Florida (2-1-0) on Friday evening at Corbett Soccer Stadium on the USF campus.
The Bulls notched two first half goals, scoring in the 37th and 41stminute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Facing a 3-0 deficit, the Bears regrouped and managed to find a response in the 54th minute.
Jackie Crowther pushed up the left side of the box, crossing in a pass to the middle that found Camryn Wendlandt.
The 6'0 forward soared for a header shot that found the net, cutting the USF advantage to two.
After trailing 12-5 on shots in the first half, BU took the advantage in the second half by a 10-4 margin, four of those coming in the closing eight minutes of the competition.
Freshman Taylor Moon put three shots in over that stretch that were either saved or blocked by a USF defender inside the box, narrowly missing out on clawing BU back into the match in the closing moments.
