THE RUNDOWN
NORMAN, Okla. – Baylor women's golf shot 4-under-par 280 in Saturday's second round at the Schooner Fall Classic, moving the Bears into fourth place at 10-under 558 entering Sunday's final round.
Baylor (-10) trails only Alabama (-34), Texas (-24) and tournament-host Oklahoma (-12). BU leads Texas A&M (-6), Miami (-2), Florida State (-2), Oregon (E), Clemson (+1), Notre Dame (+5), Mississippi State (+5), UNC Wilmington (+17), Wisconsin (+20), New Mexico (+23) and Texas State (+28).
Three Baylor players shot par or better on Saturday. Maria Vesga led the team with five birdies on her way to a 4-under-par 67, which moved her into a tie for fifth place individually at 7-under 135. Diane Baillieux carded 1-under 70 to move into a tie for 25th place at 1-under 141 for the tournament, and Laila Hrindova shot even-par 71 and is tied for 23rd place at 2-under 140.
Gurleen Kaur posted the Bears' final counting score at 1-over 72 to move into a tie for 28th place at even-par 142, and Fiona Liddell shot 8-over 79 to tie for 74th place at 12-over 154. Jordan Shackelford, who is playing as an individual, rebounded from a tough start to shoot 3-under over her final 14 holes on her way to a 2-over 73, which put her in a tie for 53rd place at 5-over 147.

- Maria Vesga is tied for sixth in the 81-player field in par-4 scoring at 4-under 3.78.
- Gurleen Kaur, Laila Hrindova and Vesga are tied for 15th in par-5 scoring at 2-under 4.75.
- Diane Baillieux and Vesga are tied for 11th in par-3 scoring at 1-under 2.90.
- Baillieux is tied for second in the field with 27 pars over 36 holes, while Vesga, Fiona Liddell, Kaur and Hrindova are tied for 15th with 25 pars made.
- Vesga leads the team and is tied for ninth overall with nine birdies.
