
Women’s Golf Ties for Seventh at Betsy Rawls Invite

THE RUNDOWN
AUSTIN, Texas – Baylor women's golf shot a final round of 1-over 289 on Sunday at the Betsy Rawls Invitational, climbing one spot to finish tied for seventh place with a three-round total of 18-over 882 at UT Golf Club.
BU (+18) recorded wins over TCU (+21), Yale (+31), North Texas (+32), Texas State (+33), UNLV (+40), New Mexico (+48) and SMU (+53). Baylor tied Denver (+18) and placed behind Texas (-19), Kent State (-17), Oklahoma State (-13), Miami (-6), Maryland (+5) and Colorado (+14).
The Bears were short-handed with Diane Baillieux forced to withdraw due to injury, so all four BU players scores counted. Gurleen Kaur stepped up, delivering a clean round with four birdies and 14 pars to post 4-under 68 and finish tied for 22nd individually at 2-over 218.
Elodie Chapelet recorded an even-par 72 to tie for 16th place at 1-over 217, while Erica Chiang shot 2-over 74 and tied for 28th place at 4-over 220. Fiona Liddell carded 3-over 75 in the final round and finished tied for 48th place at 11-over 227.

- Chapelet tied for sixth in the field with 37 pars across 54 holes, while Fiona Liddell posted 36 pars and Kaur and Erica Chiang had 35 pars apiece.
- Kaur led the team with nine birdies.
