HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Baylor women's golf shot 19-over-par 303 in Saturday's second round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. The Bears fell two spots into 15th place at 34-over 602 entering Sunday's final round at Long Cove Club.
No. 36 Baylor (+34) leads No. 33 North Carolina (+36) and Oklahoma State (+38), and all but two of the teams in front of the Bears are higher-ranked in the latest Golfstat rankings. The Bears trail No. 19 Florida State (-3), No. 3 Duke (+5), No. 13 Wake Forest (+6), No. 10 South Carolina (+12), No. 23 Furman (+15), LSU (+15), No. 4 UCLA (+16), No. 11 Auburn (+18), No. 7 Vanderbilt (+18), No. 14 Virginia (+22), No. 38 Georgia (+23), No. 6 Arkansas (+23), No. 15 Northwestern (+27) and No. 16 Alabama (+33).
Baylor sophomore Gurleen Kaur in tied for fifth place in the 90-player field after shooting 1-under 70 to improve to 1-under 141 through two rounds. Kaur played 34 consecutive bogey-free holes to start the tournament, including 21 straight pars. She began the second round on No. 10 and made birdies on her fourth and 12th holes of the day, and she didn't make a bogey until her 17th hole.
Sophomore Diane Baillieux carded a 5-over 76 to move into a tie for 67th place at 11-over 153. First-semester freshman Emma Bradley shot 7-over 78 to move into 85th place at 17-over 159, while junior Erica Chiang and senior Maria Vesga carded matching rounds of 8-over 79. Vesga is tied for 71st at 12-over 154, and Chiang is tied for 76th at 13-over 155.

34 – Gurleen Kaur began the tournament with 34 consecutive bogey-free holes. She made par on all 18 holes in the first round and on 14 of the first 16 holes in the second round, with birdies on her fourth and 12th holes of the second round. Her lone bogey of the tournament came on No. 8, which was her 17th hole in Saturday's second round.

- Kaur is tied for eighth in par-4 scoring at even-par 4.00 and tied for 11th in par-3 scoring at even-par 3.00.
- Kaur leads the tournament with 33 pars, two more than any other player.
