Baylor heads into Fayetteville with a 5-0 record
WACO, Texas – No. 5 Baylor men's tennis (5-0) will hit the road for the first time this season and face Arkansas (1-2) on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Billingsley Tennis Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
The Razorbacks hold a 16-1 series lead over the Bears, but the programs have only played each other once this century.
Last season, Baylor and Arkansas continued the series for the first time in nearly 28 years where the Bears rolled to a 6-1 win at home with the doubles point and victories at No. 4, 3 and 5 singles to clinch the match.
BU went 2-3 in road matches last season, capturing wins at No. 24 Michigan and Tulsa.
Arkansas holds a 1-2 record after winning its season opener over Drake. The Razorbacks finished 15-15 last season with a 3-9 conference record.
No. 19 Sven Lah and sophomore Finn Bass lead the Bears with 5-0 spring singles records while No. 111 Ryan Dickerson holds a 4-1 mark on the court. In doubles, 20th-ranked Lah and Constantin Frantzen hold a 5-0 record while 25th-ranked Dickerson and Matias Soto are 3-0 together.
