Five-star guard to join the Bears next season
WACO, Texas – The Baylor women's basketball signing class was capped off on Wednesday by the addition of Darianna Littlepage-Buggs, head coach Nicki Collen announced.
Littlepage-Buggs is a 6-foot-1 guard out of Edmond, Okla. She's a five-star recruit that ranks No. 17 overall and No. 3 in her position according to ESPN Hoopgurlz.
"Darianna is a throwback," Collen said. "She is a versatile forward that does a little bit of everything. She can rebound and bring the ball down the floor, is phenomenal in the mid-range game and is a big-time competitor. We are excited to welcome her and her entire family into the Baylor women's basketball family."
Littlepage-Buggs averaged 18.1 points, 11 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game at Classen High School last season.
ESPN Hoopgurlz ranked Collen's first signing class at Baylor at No. 9 in the country with No. 17 Buggs, No. 41 Bella Fontleroy and No. 62 Kyla Abraham along with the No. 2-ranked JUCO player in the country in Catarina Ferreira.
