Baylor has won both ends of each of its last 40 doubleheaders
WACO, Texas – No. 3 Baylor men's tennis hosts Louisiana and Dallas Baptist on Saturday at the Hurd Tennis Center, with first serves scheduled for noon and 6 p.m., respectively.
BU is 17-3 for the third time in the last five seasons and will look to win both ends of the doubleheader for the 41st time in a row.
The Bears collected their seventh ranked win of the season on Wednesday, defeating No. 15 Arizona 5-2 at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center. No. 46 Adrian Boitan and No. 56 Matias Soto each picked up ranked singles wins, while No. 103 Charlie Broom tallied his team-leading 13th singles victory of the season and 10th in a row.
Baylor boasts a combined 82-16 record in singles action this year and a collective 39-15 doubles mark for a whopping .796 winning percentage across all contests. Fifth-year senior Constantin Frantzen is looking for his 100th-career doubles victory, a feat that only three other Bears have accomplished in program history.
The Bears lead the all-time series 12-5 against the Ragin' Cajuns, including each of the last 11 matches, while Saturday's contest will mark their first meeting ever with the Patriots. Free T-shirts will be available for fans while supplies last.
