Kaur remains seventh individually in 96-player field

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Baylor women's golf is tied for 10th place in an 18-team field at the Gamecock Intercollegiate with a score of 20-over-par midway through the final round.
Teams were originally scheduled to play just 18 holes Tuesday, but with potential weather issues Wednesday morning, teams continued play into the final round on Tuesday. The final round is scheduled to resume at 10:30 a.m. CT Wednesday.
No. 1 Baylor (+20) is tied with No. 7 Ole Miss (+20) and in front of No. 20 Alabama (+22), North Carolina (+24), No. 34 Tennessee (+24), No. 41 Kentucky (+25), No. 44 Furman (+31), Texas A&M (+43) and No. 15 Florida (+43).
Eight of nine teams ahead of the Bears are top-32 ranked, including six top-16 ranked teams. The Bears trail No. 22 Duke (-4), No. 2 South Carolina (+2), No. 5 Wake Forest (+3), No. 11 Auburn (+11), No. 32 Vanderbilt (+12), Mississippi State (+14), No. 4 LSU (+15), No. 13 Georgia (+18) and No. 16 Arkansas (+19).
Baylor is led by Gurleen Kaur, who is tied for seventh place individually in the 96-player field at 1-under par. Britta Snyder is tied for 38th at 6-over, while Rosie Belsham and Hannah Karg are tied for 52nd place at 8-over. Elodie Chapelet is tied for 81st at 14-over.
The Bears' best second-round scores came from Karg, Belsham and Kaur, who all shot 2-over 74. Snyder and Chapelet both carded 7-over 79. All Bears are through at least eight holes in the final round, with Snyder 2-under, Kaur 1-under, Karg and Chapelet at 2-over and Belsham at 3-over.
