Kaur in three-way tie for individual lead headed to Tuesday’s final round

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Baylor women's golf is tied for second place with a 36-hole score of 11-under-par 565 in the 2021 Big 12 Championship. The Bears carded 6-under 282 in Monday's second round at Carlton Woods.
No. 15 Baylor (-11) trails only No. 6 Oklahoma State (-27). The Bears are tied with No. 32 Oklahoma (-11) and lead No. 29 Texas Tech (-10), No. 18 Texas (-7), Kansas State (+7), No. 45 TCU (+8), No. 37 Iowa State (+15) and Kansas (+15).
Baylor's 6-under 282 was the fourth-best score in Monday's second round. OSU carded 18-under, while Texas Tech was 12-under and Oklahoma posted 10-under.
Gurleen Kaur is in a three-way tie for the individual lead in the 45-player field at 9-under 135. Kaur took the second-round turn at even-par, then recorded three birdies over her final eight holes on Monday to card a 3-under 69.
Elodie Chapelet had Baylor's best round of the day, making six birdies on her way to a 4-under 68 to move into a tie for 10th place overall at 3-under 141. Britta Snyder recorded her second-straight round of even-par 72 to sit in a tie for 17th place, and Rosie Belsham had Baylor's final counting score at 1-over 73 to move into a tie for 19th place at 1-over 145. Hannah Karg is in 35th place at 5-over 149 after a second round of 3-over 75.
Karg is tied for second in the field in par-3 scoring at 2-under 2.75, while Kaur is tied for third in par-4 scoring at 4-under 3.80 and tied for second in par-5 scoring at 4-under 4.50. Belsham's eagle on the par-4 fifth hole in Sunday's first round remains the only eagle made in the tournament, while Kaur is tied for third in the field with 10 birdies.
