
No. 2 MT Set to Host Doubleheader

Bears face ACU at 11 a.m., Boise State at 4 p.m. at Hurd Tennis Center
WACO, Texas – The No. 2 Baylor men's tennis team is primed for its home-opening doubleheader against Abilene Christian at 11 a.m. and Boise State at 4 p.m. on Monday, both set to be played at the Hurd Tennis Center.
The match with ACU was previously postponed and will now open the doubleheader day.
The Bears are 2-0 going into Monday's matches after sweeping Creighton 7-0 and dropping only one point in the win over Nebraska, 6-1.
Baylor is 25-1 all-time in home openers, dating back to 1996.
No. 48th-ranked Sven Lah comes into the day needing just two doubles wins to reach 100 career victories. The senior is also closing in on 100 career singles wins, needing just nine more. Lah and Finn Bass make up the 18th-ranked duo in the nation and won both their doubles matches in Nebraska at the No. 1 position.
Multiple BU players had their first career wins in the green and gold in the first week of play, including Jacob Brumm, Cole Gromley and Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi. They also found doubles wins, Grassi Mazzuchi teaming up with Matias Soto to win both their doubles matches in the No. 2 slot. Adrian Boitan, Lah, Bass and Mazzuchi each won both of their singles matches.
