
WBB Wraps Up Non-Conference Action Against Long Beach State Wednesday

The game is just the second meeting between the two programs
WACO, Texas - The No. 24 Baylor women's basketball team (8-3) wraps up its non-conference slate against Long Beach State (5-4) on Wednesday at 3 p.m. inside the Ferrell Center.
The contest is available for streaming via Big 12 Now on ESPN+ and a live radio broadcast on ESPN Central Texas (1660 AM/104.9 FM) is also available for fans. Live in-game updates will also be provided via Twitter or live stats.
A face painter, pictures with Santa and ornament giveaway highlight several pregame activities beginning at 2 p.m. on the concourse. Additionally, fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear for the halftime Care Bear Toss, benefitting McLane's Children's Hospital in Temple, Texas. Single game tickets are still available and may be purchased in advance.

Baylor fell to the then-No. 20 Arizona Wildcats, 75-54, inside the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Sunday as a part of the second annual Pac-12 Coast-to-Coast Challenge. It was just the second-ever meeting between the two programs, and first since 1981.
Junior Sarah Andrews and senior Jaden Owens led the Bears offensively, finishing with 14 and 15 points, respectively. The 14 points by Andrews marked the ninth time this season that the guard had reached double figures. Owens led the team in assists, finishing with a team- and game-high eight, while logging a career-high 40 minutes.
HOME SWEET HOME
Wednesday's contest marks Baylor's eighth game at the Ferrell Center this season, as the Bears are 6-1 on their home court this year. BU is No. 14 nationally in home attendance, welcoming over 32,500 fans into the Ferrell Center so far to start the 2022-23 campaign. Baylor has won 71 of the last 73 non-conference games at home.
SCOUTING LONG BEACH STATE
Long Beach State enters Wednesday's game with a 5-4 overall record, as it is coming off a 1-1 showing at the Beach Classic where they defeated Dartmouth before coming up short against Southern Miss. As a team, LBSU is leading the Big West with a 43.1 field-goal percentage, averaging 62.8 points per game. The Beach boasts three double-figure scorers in Malia Bambrick (13.2 ppg), Tori Harris (11.6 ppg) and Kianna Hamilton-Fisher (11.2 ppg).
