
XC Preps for Gans Creek Classic

Bears bound for Missouri
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Baylor cross country returns to action on Friday morning at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course for the Gans Creek Classic, hosted by the University of Missouri.
The Bears, who will field both a men's and women's squad for only the second time this season, take the starting box at 9 a.m. for the men's 8,000 meters, followed by the women's 6,000 meters at 9:45.
Scheduled in the men's race, returners Caleb Ackman, Devin Duran and Ryan Hodge will run with Drew Snyder in his season opener. Newcomers Nolan Keenan, Straton Miller and Aiden Ramshaw are also set to lace up in their second collegiate race.
Running in the women's meet, newcomers Kat Helmer and Rosanna Pugh run with veterans Jackie Addy, Chloe Gangnath, Hayden Gold and Jordan Ledington.
The Bears are entering a field of 21 teams, including current Big 12 programs Kansas, Kansas State and Texas Tech. Future conference foe Colorado will also run on Friday morning.
After fielding a small team of three runners to the Texas A&M Invitational, all starting Bears are set to run for the first time since Sept. 1, where the women's team won the UIW Twilight and the men's team finished third.
