
Castro, Li Lead Baylor WG in Prairie Dunes Invite

WACO, Texas --Â Led by Malena Castro and Yurang Li, Baylor women's golf posted its third top-five tournament finish in as many events of 2025-26, finishing fourth in the Prairie Dunes Invitational, hosted by Oklahoma in Hutchinson, Kan., on Monday and Tuesday.Â

A junior transfer from Illinois, Li, posted a second-place finish the lead the Bears. She had a 1-over 71 on Monday and followed that with a 2-over 72 on Tuesday, barely edged by Florida's Megan Propeck for the tournament title, with Propeck shooting a 3-under on the final round.Â

Castro, a native of General Pico, Argentina, placed 14th after a first round, 2-over 72, and worked around a triple bogey on Tuesday to post a 3-over 73 on Tuesday, complemented by four birdies.Â

Freshman Amelia Wan posted a top-20 finish, firing a 2-over round one and a 4-over round two to place 19th.

Bridge Boczar was Baylor's fourth top-30 finisher, posting a 29th place finish with a 10-over total score. A native of Canton, Mich., she posted a 4-over 74 on Monday and followed that with a 6-over 76 on Tuesday.Â

Making her Baylor debut, Charlotte Brook, a native of Poole, England, and a transfer from Pepperdine and Lynn College, fired a 4-over 74 and a 7-over 77 in the event. It fueled her to a top-40 finish in the 78-player tournament.Â

Baylor finished with a 24-over total team score, including a 9-over on Monday and a 15-over on Tuesday. The Bears fired a 584 total score, with a 289 on Monday and a 295 on Tuesday. Florida (+11), Kansas State (+18) and Eastern Michigan (+19) rounded out the top four. The Bears bested Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Tulsa, Sam Houston, Wichita State, Nebraska, Iowa, Abilene Christian, North Texas, Oral Roberts.Â

The Bears will return to action with a trip to the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Kauai, Hawaii on Oct. 20-22.Â
