
No. 23 WT Travels North to Iowa State, Kansas

Bears take on the Cyclones on Friday at 4 p.m. and the Jayhawks on Sunday at noon
WACO, Texas – No. 23 Baylor women's tennis is set to travel up north as they face No. 53 Iowa State at 4 p.m. on Friday in Ames, Iowa, and No. 43 Kansas at noon on Sunday at the Jayhawk Tennis Center in Lawrence, Kansas.
Baylor (13-3) is coming off a pair hard-fought pair of third-set matches, last dropping its Sunday afternoon match to No. 14 Texas Tech, 4-2. Iowa State (9-5) bounced back with a win against Houston, 4-2, after losing two straight to No. 26 Arizona State and No. 17 UCF. Kansas (9-7) fell to UCF, 4-1, and will battle No. 33 TCU before seeing the Bears on Sunday.
BU leads the series 26-2 against the Cyclones with its last meeting in March resulting in a 5-2 Baylor win at home. The Bears also have the advantage all-time against the Jayhawks, 26-10, and Baylor earned a 4-3 dub in Waco last March.
Baylor has one ranked singles player in freshman No. 87 Na Dong, while Liubov Kostenko and Cristina Tiglea hold the No. 24 ranking in doubles.
Iowa State claims one ranked singles competitor, No. 72 Anna Supapitch Kuearum, while Kansas possesses No. 67 Gracie Mulville. As of the last computerized rankings, neither Iowa State nor Kansas have any teams ranked in doubles.
