WACO, Texas -- Coming off a second-place finish at the stout Folds of Honor Collegiate last week, Baylor women's golf will hit the road to compete in the Mason Rudolph Championship, hosted by Vanderbilt at the VU Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn., on Friday-Saturday-Sunday.
Baylor opened the 2025-26 season in style at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, placing second with a 10-over total score of 874 at American Dunes GC in Grand Haven, Mich. The Bears finished just three strokes off the lead, a seven-over by Texas A&M. Four of Baylor's five competitors charted top-25 finishes.
Silje Ohma starred for the Bears, finishing seventh in the field with a +2 overall score of 218. She fired a second-round 65, equaling the best score in program history, also done by her three times. The native of Bergen, Norway, entered the final round leading the event.
Freshman
Amelia Wan finished 12
th in her collegiate debut with a +4 220 that featured a 71 in the opening round and a 72 in the final round.
Yurang Li, a junior transfer from Fullerton, Calif., had an eight-over to finish 16
th, including a 71, 72 finish to the event.
Malena Castro placed 21
st with a nine-over 225, and
Bridget Boczar placed 26
th with a +10 226.
The Bears will go with the lineup of Ohma, Wan, Li, Castro and Boczar in the Mason Rudolph Championship.
