Game notes:
• Baylor welcomes the Kansas Jayhawks to Foster Pavilion on Sunday afternoon for a Big 12 matchup at 2 p.m. Tipoff is live from the Banks of the Brazos on ESPN+ and the Baylor Sports Media Network.
• The Bears face Kansas for the 51st time in program history after claiming the lone contest between the two programs last season in Lawrence, 86-66.
• BU is one of only two teams in the nation, along with Texas, to record multiple wins over top-10 opponents. The Bears are the Big 12's only squad with multiple ranked victories and one of just 12 teams nationally.
• Baylor is ranked 16th in the AP Poll and 16th in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll after its 14-3 start to the season.
• BU enters the contest on a three-game winning streak in Big 12 play, going 2-0 on the first road trip at OSU and Iowa State before returning home to pick up a gritty win over Colorado.
• Through games on Jan. 8, Baylor is ranked No. 31 in the NET.
• The Bears are 3-3 against Quadrant 1 opponents, with BU's top win coming against Duke in Paris to open the season.
• Baylor got a four-point win over the Colorado Buffaloes at Foster Pavilion in the Bears' first home game of 2026.
• Darianna Littlepage-Buggs recorded rebound No. 1,000 in the win, joining an exclusive list of eight other Bears in program history to hit the 1K boards mark in a Baylor uniform: Suzie Snider Eppers, Sophia Young-Malcolm, Brittney Griner, Kalani Brown, NaLyssa Smith, Nina Davis, Jackie Reiter and Maggie Davis-Stinnett.
• Yuting Deng paced BU with 13 points, 11 of which came in a three-minute span bridging the end of the third quarter and the start of the fourth when Baylor took the lead for the final time. The stretch was highlighted by a buzzer-beating three to end the third quarter off a Jana Van Gytenbeek assist.
• Bella Fontleroy and Kiersten Johnson each finished with five blocks, tying Fontleroy's career high and marking the first time since Feb. 17, 2016, that a Baylor duo recorded five or more blocks in the same game (Beatrice Mompremier (5) and Alexis Prince (5) vs. Oklahoma State).
