Game notes:
• Baylor embarks on a road trip through the Beehive State, facing the Utah Utes on Wednesday at 8 p.m. CT and the BYU Cougars on Saturday at 3 p.m.
• The Bears face Utah for the first time in Salt Lake City and just the fourth time in the all-time series. Baylor has won both meetings in the Nicki Collen era: an 84-77 victory over the No. 4 Utes on Nov. 14, 2023, as non-conference opponents and a 70-61 win on Jan. 14, 2025, in Utah's first season in the Big 12 Conference.
• BU and Texas are tied for the national lead with two wins over top-10 teams and is one of two teams in the Big 12 Conference West Virginia with more than one ranked victory, joining West Virginia.
• Baylor is ranked 18th in the AP Poll and 17th in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll after its 15-3 start to the season.
• BU enters the contest on an eight-game streak of true road victories, winning 14 of its last 16, and is one of four Big 12 teams with an unblemished road record this season. The Bears join Texas Tech, Utah and West Virginia as Big 12 teams undefeated in true road games, the most among DI conferences in this season.
• Through games on Jan. 12, Baylor is ranked No. 29 in the NET.
• The Bears are 3-3 against Quadrant 1 opponents, with BU's top win coming against Duke in Paris to open the season.
• Baylor's three Quad 1 losses have come against opponents with a combined 50-3 record.
• BU picked up its fourth-straight victory through the Big 12 Conference in a 15-point defeat of Kansas, 79-64.
• Darianna Littlepage-Buggs complied her ninth double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds, going 7-of-7 from the field and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. It was the second time in Buggs' career that she shot 100% with more than five attempts. The senior also dished out a season-high six assists.
• Jana Van Gytenbeek recorded a career high four steals, while Kayla Nelms (2 steals) and Taliah Scott (1 block) eached match their career highs.
• Baylor took the lead four minutes into the game and never looked back, leading by as much as 22 early in the fourth quarter.
