Game notes:
• Baylor hits the road for a ranked matchup against No. 22 West Virginia at Hope Coliseum in Morgantown. The game is scheduled for Sunday at noon CT and will air on ESPN and the Baylor Sports Media Network.
• The Bears and Mountaineers meet for the 31st time in series history, with BU winning the last three, including a 1‑point thriller in 2024 decided by a pair of Jana Van Gytenbeek free throws with four seconds left.
• Baylor is tied for first place in the Big 12 with TCU and owns the league's longest active winning streak at eight games.
• Ranked No. 1 nationally in 3‑point defense, the Bears have held opponents to 22.7% shooting from beyond the arc this season, including 21.2% in Big 12 play.
• At 19‑3 overall, Baylor is ranked No. 14 in both the AP Top 25 Poll and the USA TODAY Coaches Poll, its 19th straight appearance and 360th over the past 20 seasons, the second most in that span behind UConn.
• Through games on Jan. 29, Baylor is ranked No. 27 in the NET.
• The Bears are 3-2 against Quadrant 1 opponents, with BU's top win coming against Duke in Paris to open the season.
• Bella Fontleroy recorded her first double-double of the season and the ninth of her career against Houston, finishing with 17 points and 12 rebounds in a game that was postponed two days at Foster Pavilion due to winter weather in Central Texas.
• She joined three other Bears in double figures: Darianna Littlepage-Buggs (25), Taliah Scott (14) and Kyla Abraham (10).
• BU held UH to just 19 points in the first half before both teams shot better than 50% in the second half. Houston shaved only one point off its halftime deficit as the game ended 82-66.
• The Bears' 52.5% mark from the field was their best in Big 12 play and their third-best performance of the season.
• Baylor is 5-0 this season in true road games, taking a non-conference win at UNLV before league victories at Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Utah and BYU.
• BU owns a 10-game streak of road victories, winning 16 of its last 18 dating back to the 2023-24 campaign.
• The Bears join Utah as the only Big 12 teams undefeated in true road games, making the league the lone conference with multiple teams in that category.
