2005: After earning honorable mention All-Big 12 honors from The Associated Press as a junior in 2004, senior Montez Murphy is listed No. 1 at defensive end for the 2005 Bears and will again challenge for all-league honors in his final campaign. 2004: Played and started eight games as a junior en route to honorable mention All-Big 12 recognition from The Associated Press ... Shared the team lead in fumbles forced with two ... Ranked No. 2 (tie) on the squad in sacks (two), No. 7 (tie) in tackles for loss (five for 12 yards) and No. 13 in tackles with 20, 14 of which were solos ... Also had two quarterback hurries and a pass breakup ... Registered a career-best and team-high eight tackles, which included six solos, against Texas State ... Two of eight stops against the Bobcats were behind the line and one was also his first career sack ... Had four multi-tackle performances ... Missed back-to-back games against Missouri and Nebraska due to an ankle injury and did not play at No. 25 Oklahoma State (coaches decision) ...
