2006: Fifth-year senior Yancy Boatner moved from right guard to center during the final week of spring ball and is listed No. 1 at his new position entering the 2006 campaign ... Arguably the Bears[apos] most versatile lineman, he can play anywhere along the offensive line.
2005: Started nine of his 10 appearances at right guard for the Bears ... Finished No. 4 on squad in knockdowns with 33 on 545 plays ... Recorded four or more knockdowns four times with a career-high of eight against both SMU and Samford ... Missed season-finale against Oklahoma State with a left knee stain ... Earned second varsity letter on 587 snaps, which included 42 on special teams.
2004: Appeared in all 11 games for the Bears as a sophomore to earn his first varsity letter ... Credited with 13 knockdowns in 183 offensive plays (saw action on 224 total snaps for the season) ... Had a then-career-best four knockdowns at No. 25 Oklahoma State ... Named to the fall Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
Junior College: Boatner was a starter along the offensive line at both center and guard for coach Greg Croshaw[apos]s 2003 10-2 Dixie State (Utah) College Rebels ... Started the year as the Rebels[apos] center but moved to guard after injuring his thumb ... Helped team to a No. 3 national ranking and a spot in the Dixie Rotary Bowl where it dropped a 14-10 decision to top-ranked Butler (Kan.)
