2005: An All-Big 12 candidate, fifth-year senior Colin Allred will replace Michael Tolbert, a 10-game starter in 2004, at linebacker for the 2005 Bears ... He[apos]s posted 15 multiple-tackle performances in 26 career games at Baylor and closed his junior campaign with eight straight such performances.
2004: The second-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree played in all 11 games as a junior linebacker for the Bears and drew his first career start at Texas Tech ... Ranked No. 6 on the squad in tackles with 42, 25 of which were solos, and had five tackles for losses totaling 10 yards to stand No. 7 (tie) ... Also had a quarterback hurry ... Credited with a career-high nine tackles (seven solo) in Baylor[apos]s overtime upset win over No. 16 Texas A&M, including a career-best two tackles for loss ... Recorded eight straight multi-tackle efforts to close his junior season and had nine such performances in 11 2004 appearances ... 24 of his 42 tackles came in the season[apos]s final four games as he made nine stops against the Aggies, four at Texas Tech, five at No. 25 Oklahoma State and six vs. No. 2 Oklahoma ... 2002: Did not play and was redshirted ... Named to fall Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
2001: Appeared in four games as a true freshman reserve linebacker to earn first varsity letter ... Collected 11 total tackles and a pass breakup ... Had three multi-tackle efforts ... Made a then-career-high six tackles (three solo) in season-finale against Southern Illinois ... Recorded three tackles (two solo) at Missouri and had a pair of stops against Oklahoma State ... Named to fall Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
High School: Hillcrest High School, Dallas ... Three-time All-District 11-4A selection, earned first-team honors as a junior and senior ... Led Hillcrest in tackles each of his last two seasons and was named second-team all-area by The Dallas Morning News as a senior ...
