2006: Walk-on appeared in 11 games as a junior H-back for the Bears ... Made lone start of the year at No. 6 Texas ... Saw extensive action on special teams ... Had one kickoff return for nine yards ... Played 137 snaps to receive second varsity letter.
2005: Joined program as a walk-on and played in every game, mainly on special teams, to earn first Baylor letter ... Drew first career start at Missouri, but recorded no statistics ... Totaled two receptions for 19 yards on season ... Registered first career catch, a 7-yarder, at Iowa State, then had a career-long 12-yard grab vs. Nebraska ... Played 200 snaps ... Named to fall Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
Junior College: Blinn College, Brenham, Texas ... Helped Buccaneers to 2003 and 2004 playoff appearances from his fullback position ... In 2004, Blinn posted a 9-2 record and won the Golden Isles Bowl, while it went 8-3 in 2003 and lost in the first round of the playoffs ... One of his 2003 teammates at Blinn was Dane King, who started seven games at quarterback for Baylor in 2004 ... Coached by Scott Maxfield.
High School: Cinco Ranch High School, Katy, Texas ... Rushed 34 times for 403 yards and three touchdowns as a senior for a 6-4 Cougar squad that missed the playoffs by one game ... Spent first three years of prep career at Huntington High School, where he threw for 876 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior quarterback for coach Bob Bunton ... Also a standout baseball catcher at both Huntington and Cinco Ranch ... Played senior year for coach Don Clayton at the District 9-5A school.
