COLUMBIA, MO. - The Baylor women's golf team shot a 313 Wednesday to finish in seventh place at the Big 12 Championships held at the Country Club of Missouri in Columbia (321-312-313=946).
The Bears were led by senior Melanie Hagewood who finished tied for ninth after shooting a one-over-par 73 Wednesday (76-77-73=226).
Rounding out the individual scoring for the Bears are senior Hanna-Sofia Svenningsson who tied for 14th place with after scoring a 78 Wednesday (76-77-78=231). Junior Kelli McKandless took 44th place after shooting a 77 in the final round of play (84-83-77=243). Junior Michaelyn Morgan finished tied for 50th (83-77-88=248) and freshman Josefin Svenningsson finished at 58th (90-81-85=256).
Oklahoma State won the title after carding a 304 Wednesday (309-296-304=909). Rounding out the top-five were Missouri (304-300-306=910), Texas (307-302-309=918), Oklahoma (314-305-304=923) and Nebraska (311-307-308=926).
The Bears finished in the top-five in nine of their 11 tournaments this season, including a school-record four first-place finishes this fall.
