SAN JOSE DEL CABO, Mexico – Baylor women's golf finished in 12th place in the Battle at the Beach after shooting 18-over-par 302 in Sunday's final round. The Bears shot 57-over 909 across 54 holes to finish in front of five teams in the 17-team fioeld.
Baylor (+57) placed in front of New Mexico (+64), UAB (+65), Iowa (+66), Denver (+67) and Tulsa (+73). The Bears finished behind Auburn (-7), TCU (+10), Texas (+13), Clemson (+14), Vanderbilt (+17), Oklahoma (+20), Mississippi State (+27), Missouri (+27), Virginia (+41), Houston (+48) and Tulane (+54).
BU's best finishes came from a pair of players competing as individuals. Erica Chiang led the way in her Division I debut, carding a final round of 3-over 74 to finish tied for 29th place at 8-over 221. Amelia McKee tied for 42nd place at 11-over 224 after shooting 4-over 75 in the final round, and Jordan Shackelford, who was also competing as an individual, shot 5-over 76 to tie for 63rd place at 17-over 230.
Fiona Liddell recorded the best finish among the five players in the Bears' lineup, shooting 5-over 76 in the final round to take 47th place at 12-over 225. Diane Baillieux tied for 53rd place at 15-over 228 after a final round of 3-over 74, while Maria Vesga shot 4-over 75 on Sunday to tie for 71st place at 19-over 232. Gurleen Kaur and Laila Hrindova carded matching final rounds of 6-over 77, with Kaur finishing tied for 60th place at 16-over 229 and Hrindova tied for 83rd place at 24-over 237.

- Erica Chiang led the team and tied for 15th in the 92-player field in par-4 scoring at 4-over 4.15. Chiang also tied for 21st in par-5 scoring at 1-under 4.92.
- Diane Baillieux tied for 12th in par-5 scoring at 2-under 4.83.
- Chiang tied for eighth in the field with 37 pars across 54 holes.
- Jordan Shackelford led the team and tied for 22nd overall with eight birdies.
- Baillieux tied for the best par-5 scoring average in the final round at 3-under 4.25.
