Baylor clinches 13-0 home record in regular season with Sunday win

WACO, Texas – No. 7 Baylor men's tennis (20-3, 3-1 Big 12) dominated on Senior Day to take a 7-0 sweep over No. 34 Oklahoma State (14-8, 1-2 Big 12) Sunday afternoon at Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.
Baylor improved to 13-0 at home this season and is 29-1 in its last 30 home matches dating back to the 2017 season. Sunday's win also secured Baylor's 18th 20-win season in 23 years and first under head coach Brian Boland.
The Bears started fast in doubles action with the top-ranked duo of Jimmy Bendeck and Sven Lah quickly disposing of No. 38 Maxim Tybar and Mathieu Scaglia at the No. 1 spot. Johannes Schretter and Constantin Frantzen clinched the opening point with a 6-2 win over Luke Hammond and Artur Dubinski on court three.
The Bears and Cowboys battled it out in singles play with five of six matches going to a third set. The lone single-set match was No. 45 Matias Soto's 6-4, 6-3 victory over Maxim Tybar at the No. 2 spot.
Adrian Boitan captured his fourth win over a ranked foe when he took down No. 122 Artur Dubinski, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, at the No. 3 spot. 105th-ranked Lah clinched the match when he outlasted Emile Hudd on court five, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
Playing the rest of the matches out, 28th-ranked Schretter took a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 victory over No. 84 Matej Vocel at the top of the lineup to make it a 5-0 Baylor lead. 82nd-ranked Will Little came back for a 6-7(5), 7-6(3), 1-0(2) victory over Mathieu Scaglia at the No. 4 spot, and then Bendeck closed out the sweep with a 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-4 triumph over Luke Hammond.
