Game notes:
• Baylor continues working its way through a five-game homestand, hosting Grambling State on Sunday afternoon at Foster Pavilion.
• It is the first matchup against the Tigers in the Nicki Collen, with the last tip coming in a 74-point green and gold win in 2019.
• After playing four of its first six games in a different time zone, including one in Central European Standard Time, BU completed its busiest opening stretch since the 2021-22 season, when Collen's first squad played four road games in its first six overall: at UT Arlington, at Maryland, and against Fordham and Arizona State in Cancun.
• Baylor is ranked 15th in the AP Poll and 16 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll after their 6-1 start to the season.
• The Bears hold three league-leading statistical categories through games on Nov. 28- team blocks per game (7.6), Taliah Scott's minutes per game (35.25) and Darianna Littlepage-Buggs' rebounds per game (9.7).
• In the first of five consecutive home games, Baylor downed Louisiana Tech by 29 points, 75-46.
• It marked the 18th time in the Nicki Collen era that the Bears held their opponents below a 30% look from the field (29.0%)
• Taliah Scott led the Baylor scoring effort, as she's done for the seventh time, with 21 points and a team-leading four steals. Yuting Deng and Marcayla Johnson also had double-digit scoring nights, each with 11.
• Darianna Littlepage-Buggs got 12 assists while Kiersten Johnson and Kyla Abraham each swatted a pair of blocks.
• Baylor's roster features four players in their fourth season under head coach Nicki Collen, the most among Big 12 programs. BYU follows with two, while Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech each have one.
• UConn leads major basketball conferences (Power Four + Big East) with five returners in at least their fourth year, while Baylor's four are tied for second with Iowa, Minnesota and Washington.
• Kyla Abraham, Bella Fontleroy and Darianna Littlepage-Buggs all signed straight out of high school in an unbroken 2022 recruiting class.
• Jana Van Gytenbeek missed Year No. 3 at BU because of injury, but regained a year of eligibility to finish out her collegiate career under Collen.
