WACO, Texas – Baylor men's basketball takes on Utah in its final regular-season game of the season at Foster Pavilion at 4 p.m. CT on Peacock.
GAME NOTES
• Saturday will be Senior Night where BU will honor its four seniors: Obi Agbim, Caden Powell, Michael Rataj and Dan Skillings Jr.
• The four seniors have been in the constant rotation this season, combining for 993 points for BU.
• All four Bears have over 120 career games played underneath their belts.
• Senior Obi Agbim earned his 2,000th collegiate career point versus Louisville, including his time in JUCO.
• Caden Powell will finish his time at Baylor as the first Waco-native player on scholarship in the Drew era.
• Head coach Scott Drew is seeking his 500th career win with a career record of 499-285.
• If the Bears get the win on Saturday, Drew will become one of 25 active DI head coaches with 500 career wins.
• The Bears and Utes have met twice since Utah joined the Big 12 after not playing each other since 1960. BU is 2-0 against Utah since 2024. This will be only the second time in the series that Utah has traveled to Waco.
• BU hung tough at Houston on Wednesday night before ultimately falling 64-77. Tounde Yessoufou earned his first double-double of his career with 20 points and a career-high of 12 rebounds.
• The duo of Cameron Carr and Tounde Yessoufou have led the Bears through the season with a combined 1,098 points.
• The two are the first pair of 500+ scorers in a season for BU since 2009-10 with LaceDarius Dunn (704) and Ekpe Udoh (500).
• Carr (18.9 ppg) and Yessoufou's (17.7 ppg) scoring averages are both the highest by a Baylor player since Pierre Jackson (19.8 in 2012-13).
• Carr's 567 points are the most by a Baylor player in their first year since Vinnie Johnson (1977-78) with 575.
• Yessoufou continues to rewrite the freshman program record book, breaking the freshman record of made field goals with 187, passing the record held since 1975-76 by Larry Spicer.
• At UCF, Yessoufou broke the freshman program record with 511 points, passing Aaron Bruce (2004-05).
• Isaac Williams IV owns 16 blocks on the season, the most by a Baylor player 6'4 or shorter since Willie Sublet (1993-94) who knocked down 38. Williams is first in the nation in players 6'1 or shorter in blocks.
• Williams is averaging 5.7 assists in the last seven contents with a 3.3 assist/turnover ratio.
• This is March. Baylor is 63-58 in the month of March in the Scott Drew era.
• Baylor went up by 14 at the half at UCF. The Bears have won 89% of its games when leading at the half since 2011-12 (277-33).
• Carr earned his third Big 12 Starting Five honor after two 26-point performances, leading the Big 12 in scoring.
• In Orlando, Carr put up 20 of his 26 points in the first half to contribute to Baylor's gritty 87-86 win. The redshirt-sophomore was the first Bear since King McClure in 2019 to post 20 points in the first half in a Big 12 game.
