• Baylor hits the road for its conference road opener on New Year's Eve, facing Oklahoma State at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. on ESPN+ and the Baylor Sports Media Network.
• The Bears face the Cowgirls for the 66th time in program history after splitting matchups last season, once in the regular season and once in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship semifinals.
• Through games on Dec. 28, Kiersten Johnson (blocks), Darianna Littlepage-Buggs (double-doubles, rebounds, rebounds per game) and Taliah Scott (free throw percentage) each hold Big 12-best stats, while the team leads in blocks per game.
• Baylor is ranked 22nd in the AP Poll and 21st in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll after its 11-3 start to the season.
