2022 Cross Country: Competed in three races for the Bears in the 2022 campaign ... Put up a PR of 21:40.3 at the Arturo Barrios Invitational in College Station in the 6k ... Finished the Big 12 Championships in 47th place ... Opened the season finishing 67th at the Gans Creek Classic.
2022 Outdoor: Silver medalist in the 1,500 meters at the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge ... Ran a career-best 5,000-meter race at the Texas Relays in 16:44.76 to finish sixth overall ... Competed at the Michael Johnson Invitational, finishing ninth in the 800 and sixth in the 1,500 meters ... Finished 11th in the 5,000 meters at the Big 12 Championships.
2022 Indoor: Ninth-place finisher in the mile at the Big 12 Championships with a seasons-best 4:52.31 ... Finished the mile at the Charlie Thomas Invitational in 12th and the 800 in 29th ... Ran the 800 in Kentucky and finished 16th.
2021 Cross Country: Sidelined during the regular season due to injury and illness ... Finished third among Bears and 51st overall at the Big 12 Championships ... Finished second on the team at the NCAA South Central Regional in Waco with a 22:14.8 to finish 52nd overall.
High School: Earned seven letters at Valor Christian High School… Member of three state championship track teams (2018, 2019, 2021)… Runner-up in the 5K (2018), 3200m (2017) and 1600m (2017) at the XC/Track State Championship… Individual state champion in the 3200m (2019)… Runner-up in the 4x800m relay (2021)… Champion in the 4x800m relay (2019)… Was on a national-qualifying XC team… Finished eighth in the country as a team in 2019… First team academics in 2019 and 2020.
Personal: Daughter of Rick and Gina Whitfield… Has four siblings - Dylan, Elijah, Abigail and Caleb… Child and Family Studies major.
