Baylor won consecutive fall tournaments for the first time since 2004.

Season Statistics

Like the men's golf team, the Baylor women's golf team enjoyed arguably its best fall season in program history under first-year head coach Jay Goble. The Lady Bears opened the Goble era with a sixth-place finish at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic, shooting 21-over. Playing her first collegiate tournament, freshman Hayley Davis shot 2-under 214 to finish second overall at Ptarmigan.

Two weeks later, Baylor posted the low score of the final round to claim the Branch Law Firm / Dick McGuire Invitational by a four-stroke margin in Albuquerque, N.M. It was the first tournament victory of the Goble era and Baylor's first win since April 2010 at the Baylor Spring Invitational. It was also Baylor's first fall win since September 2005 (Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic). Davis again finished second individually, while senior Chelsey Cothran tied for fourth overall.

For its lone October tournament, the Lady Bears returned to New Mexico for the Price's "Give 'Em Five" Intercollegiate. Senior Jaclyn Jansen scored a share of the individual title, leading the 21st-ranked Lady Bears to its second straight tournament win.

In its final fall tournament, the Lady Bears narrowly missed winning its third consecutive tournament, finishing second at the Alamo Invitational. Three Lady Bears finished in the top 10, while Davis posted her third second-place finish in four fall tournaments.

Davis leads the Lady Bears with a 71.92 scoring averaging, -0.33 score vs. par, eight rounds of par or better and four top-10 finishes (three second-place finishes). The Hailsham, England, freshman was named the Big 12 Golfer of the Month for September. Cothran finished the fall second in scoring average (72.67) and score vs. par (0.42), while Jansen is third with a 74.25 scoring average. After sharing the individual title at the "Give 'Em Five," Jansen was named Big 12 Golfer of the Month for October.
